| Before .NET projects go live,
enterprise applications must continue running
perfectly to satisfy end-users' requirements.
This means that development teams will continue
to maintain existing DNA applications during the
transition phase. Such applications are often
complex and made up of undocumented pieces of
software. Without any accurate information, it
is tricky for development teams to efficiently
support the application, i.e. to fix bugs, add
functionalities, and administer it.
Migration to .NET requires a well-conducted transition
phase. While project teams begin to work on the
migration phase or new .NET developments, enterprise
applications must continue running perfectly.
Depending on the type of organization, IT managers
may be reluctant to see developers quit existing
projects. It is better if they can manage both
existing and new projects.
By automating numerous tasks that developers
usually handle manually, it enables them to work
on new .NET projects and maintain existing DNA
apps without doubling their normal day's work.
